About Bnei Akiva Schools of Toronto
Founded in the early 1970’s, Bnei Akiva Schools (BAS) is Toronto's leading Modern Orthodox Jewish high school, operating two campuses: Yeshivat Or Chaim and Ulpanat Orot. Our curriculum not only promotes our students’ development through a comprehensive and rigorous dual curriculum rooted in General and Judaic Studies, but aims to cultivate an appreciation and love towards the State of Israel. Our schools proudly serve more than 270 high school students from Toronto and other regions of Ontario, the United States, and Israel. With our strong calibre of dedicated and talented faculty, we host an exciting educational and co-curricular environment which challenges our students and enables them to excel both in and out of the classroom. BAS students are often engaged in one or more school activities, compete on our athletics teams, and participate in volunteer community work. Upon graduation, students typically spend at least one or more years of study in Israel, and many serve in the IDF or complete Israel National Service. Graduates are fully prepared for the most demanding of post-secondary curriculum and join a network of over 1,700 alumni who are leaders in their professions and in their communities worldwide. Bnei Akiva Schools is located in midtown Toronto. It is accredited by the Ontario Ministry of Education and affiliated with UJA Federation’s Center for Jewish Education.
