About Bob D. Campbell & Company
Bob D. Campbell and Company is an independent structural engineering firm well known by the architectural community for its creative solutions to design challenges, while remaining practical in design and responsive to construction difficulties. We have served the Kansas City architectural community since 1957 on a variety of projects including Cerner, Teva Headquarters, the Kansas Statehouse Preservation and Restoration, the Liberty Memorial Restoration, Shawnee Mission Medical Center, Children’s Mercy Hospital and numerous office, retail, educational and health care facilities. In 2013, Ingram’s Magazine Best of Business Kansas City awarded Bob D. Campbell and Company bronze for the Best Engineering Firm. All principals serve as structural project managers and are actively involved in all phases of each project. While the principals’ average tenure with the company is 24 years, several recent associates and staff engineering graduates serve to keep the firm energetic and strong. We are in our third generation of ownership. Bob D. Campbell and Company has provided structural engineering on a variety of civic and community centers, educational facilities, health care facilities, warehouse and manufacturing facilities, sports facilities, etc. throughout the United States and even abroad. Many of these projects have included rehabilitation and renovation of older facilities. In recent years our greatest activity has been in office buildings, residential condominiums, schools, hospitals and health care facilities, churches, and related parking structures.
