A registered charity, we support all levels - from beginners to elite. We believe that through the power and inspiration of boccia, REAL CHANGE can be achieved to those living with a disability. From a seated position, players propel balls to land close to a white marker ball (jack). Two sides compete as individuals, pairs or teams of three over a set number of ends. The tactics of the sport offer both tension and excitement as the game plays out. What makes us unique? Boccia England is uniquely placed to make a massive difference to the lives of so many people who otherwise would not have access to the benefits sport can bring. Boccia is a totally inclusive sport and can be played by anyone regardless of age, gender, ability or disability. + Boccia is the only sporting option for many severely disabled and older people with limited motor skills + Boccia is simple to introduce and is easily adaptable within a social environment + Boccia is a low-cost sport so accessible to many + Boccia England has a strong committed based of volunteers New support networks are created at boccia events where individuals feel more comfortable in themselves and can speak to others who understand their daily challenges. Informal support networks are also created for the players' families and life-long friendships are regularly formed.
