I’m a double board-certified physician in Family Medicine and Obesity Medicine and the founder of BodyWise Health, a direct-care medical practice specializing in personalized, evidence-based weight management. At BodyWise Health, we believe obesity is a disease that is drive by a multitude of factors and is a biological process. When we talk about weight loss, it is in the context of improving your metabolic health and reducing your risk for chronic disease. I'm in the business of improving your health span and preventing catastrophic health events from happening. We take a comprehensive and systems-based approach—identifying and addressing the root drivers of weight gain and metabolic dysfunction. This includes a deep dive into not only nutrition and physical activity, but also sleep, medications, hormonal changes, chronic stress, and environmental factors that influence long-term health. Longevity medicine is a glamorized term for really good preventive care. As a micropractice, I can deliver high-touch, high-quality care free of administrative distractions and requirements placed on me by insurance companies that can hinder the care that patients deserve.
