Our mission is to create outstanding activities for older people in care and at home. #InspirationInCare We are Gill and Marilyn, we founded Bonnie Day in 2012 to provide interesting and engaging activity sessions for older people in care homes and other settings. Drawing on our experience from years of primary and secondary teaching, we began to design and create, The Bonnie Day Way. This is based on person centred activity sessions which we facilitate in professional settings and to people in their own homes. Over the years we found that residents, relatives, friends and staff enjoyed our activities and looked forward to our visits. This is why we have created a number of resources for use directly in the care sector. They can be used in group settings or on a 1:1 basis. #InspirationInCare #InnovationInCare We also believe in the power of technology to help end loneliness. We also believe there is a wealth of content available for free online which would be of great interest to older people but may not be easily accessible. In an increasingly connected world, it is possible that older people (including those living with dementia) could feel even further left behind by advances in modern technology. Our DVD is a product that seeks to address some of these challenges.
