BOOKS for the BARRIOS, Inc. is a not-for-profit California corporation run by volunteers that collect school English reading books and educational learning aids in the United States and deliver them to remote barrio public schools throughout the Philippines. Selected severely deprived public schools are transformed and maintained as world-class learning institutions to set the national standard. BOOKS for the BARRIOS, Inc. organizes U.S. schoolchildren to participate as a humanitarian service project.
