About Books Taxes & More

Books, Taxes & More offers a full range of business accounting services— from basic tax prep to serving as your company’s fractional CFO. Whether you need tax preparation and planning, monthly accounting services, or expert representation to settle an issue with the IRS or your state Department of Revenue, I’ve got you covered. ### Steve Perry is a numbers guy. At the age of 12, he had his first checking account—and balanced it every month. He started helping friends with their taxes right out of high school and went on to earn a degree in mathematics from the U.S. Military Academy at West Point. In the Army Steve continued helping his fellow soldiers fill out their tax returns. Since that time, no matter what official job Steve held, people still came to him for help during tax season. Finally, he realized doing taxes was his calling. He went back to school to get his Master’s in Accounting, and that was the start of Books, Taxes & More. Steve is passionate about helping his clients save money and will exhaust every legal avenue possible to help them reduce their tax liabilities. He invests time in ongoing training and development and actually sits down and reads the IRS tax code. He keeps up to date with best practices in evolving areas of accounting – like cryptocurrency — by attending frequent webinars and seminars. In 2013, Steve became licensed as an Enrolled Agent by the U.S. Department of Treasury. As an Enrolled Agent, he is able to use his tax expertise to represent clients from across the U.S. in front of the IRS and at the state level in 49 states.
