OUR MISSION FOR PARENTS: 1) To give you the tools you need to meet your family-related goals, creating a healthy and positive home 2) For you to realize your parenting strengths so you're ready to handle each new stage as your children grow 3) To help you advocate for your children outside of your home and create consistency for your child throughout different environments (e.g., school, childcare and activities) Our services include: -sleep solutions (infants and older) -behavior support (toddlers and older) -finding, evaluating and training childcare providers -preparing for a new baby or child, and support during the first weeks home -co-parenting strategies -childhood transitions (e.g., toilet training, weaning from nursing/bottles/pacifiers, transitioning to a new school) -connecting with preteens and teens -family transitions (e.g., arrival of sibling, moving, parents' separation/divorce, parent introducing new partner) -home-school collaboration (e.g., support in the classroom; understanding evaluations, services and IEPs) The BPS Difference: Our Parenting Consultants are experienced and educated in child development, counseling, family dynamics and solutions-based problem solving. Parenting Consultants meet with families in their homes, and provide follow-ups with phone calls, video conferencing and email support between appointments. Parenting Consultants bring their own expertise, but have the added benefit (at no additional cost to you) of a network of professional consultants who can provide input to create the best possible plan for your family. Professional consultants include: nurses, social workers, teachers, childcare providers, out-of-school time professionals and school administrators.
