About Bottlescrew Bill's Pub and Buzzards Restaurant & Bar
Owned and operated by the Allan family of Calgary from the very start, our story begins with the grand opening of Buzzards way back in 1980 as a wine bar. Five years later we were having so much fun that we expanded and opened Bottlescrew Bill's Pub in the space adjacent to the restaurant. In the 90's and 2000's Buzzards adopted a "Cowboy Cuisine" theme, focusing on rustic decor (wagon wheel chandeliers, anyone?) and downhome country cookin'. In 2011 we sent the cowboy theme riding off into the sunset (see what we did there?) and completely renovated both Buzzards and Bottlescrew Bill's. Nowadays Buzzard's Restaurant is crisp and modern, with huge windows facing out onto 10th avenue and 1st street. Our pub consists of three different rooms, each with its own distinct vibe. With over 275 beers available from around the world we pride ourselves on having Calgary's largest beer selection.
