About Bowland Stone
Bowland Stone’s parent company, Concrete Fabrications Ltd started manufacturing concrete products in 1960 with Paul Elston joining the company in 1983 and being made a director in the late eighties. The Bowland Stone brand was born in the early 1990’s when three independent concrete manufacturers saw the need to create a paving range that could have a national identity. Based in Hull, Macclesfield and Bristol, these companies were each able to create Bowland Stone paving while at the same time remaining independent companies. Paul’s son and daughter Ian and Julia agreed a management buyout in 2010 and now run both the Bristol and Macclesfield sites with the support of their spouses and management team. Paul and his wife Sandra still continue to be active within the business. This means that the Bowland Stone brand has now become wholly family owned and operated and strengthens the commitment to deliver high quality products at a competitive price, supplying Garden Centres, Builders Merchants, Landscape Designers, Tradesmen and retail customers alike.
