About Bowline Health

Bowline Health has developed two programs to provide care, support and guidance to individuals facing substance use and addiction. The first program – Virtual Recovery Coaching – will help individuals throughout the continuum of their recovery journey from initial intervention to long-term recovery. Participants will be able to access their recovery coaches by text, phone, or virtual meeting. The virtual recovery coaching program will support one-on-one coaching as well as group support sessions. The second program will see Bowline Health adding recovery coaches to the provincial Navigation Centres that are being established to help Albertans find suitable housing and access health and mental health services. Recovery coaches will help participants navigate available supports at the centre, act as an advocate and mentor, and help participants access available programs and services in the community. Recovery coaches in both programs often have lived experience with addiction and mental health, and all have participated in standardized education and training.
