About Boys and Girls Club of Henderson County
The Boys & Girls Club of Henderson County is a nonprofit youth development organization serving children and teens ages 6 to 18 in Hendersonville, North Carolina. Since 1993, our mission has been to inspire and enable all young people—especially those who need us most—to reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens. Each year, we serve over 1,200 young people through safe, high-quality afterschool and summer programs. Our work focuses on three key outcome areas: academic success, good character and citizenship, and healthy lifestyles. We provide daily homework help, leadership clubs, STEM activities, arts programs, recreation, and healthy meals—ensuring every child has access to the tools and support they need to thrive. The Club is open when kids need us most—after school, on school holidays, and all day during the summer. For many working families, we are a trusted partner and reliable resource. Over 80% of our members qualify for free or reduced-price lunch, and our program fees remain low so that no child is ever turned away for inability to pay. Our experienced team of youth development professionals builds strong relationships with each member, creating a positive and inclusive environment. We work closely with local schools, community partners, and supporters to ensure young people are safe, supported, and seen. With the help of caring donors, dedicated volunteers, and committed staff, we are building brighter futures for the youth of Henderson County—one child at a time.
