About Boys & Girls Club of Greater Westfield
The Boys & Girls Club of Greater Westfield, Inc. is a not-for-profit, 501(c)(3) youth development agency affiliated with the Boys & Girls Clubs of America, which has been providing life-enhancing youth programs and services since its founding in 1969 in a converted 1,295-square-foot parlor. 52 years later, we serve over 1,600 youth per year in a 46,000-square-foot facility complete with a swimming pool, gym, technology center, fine and performing arts studios, teen center, game rooms, education room, athletic fields, and licensed child care classrooms. We currently offer a state-licensed childcare program for children aged 2.9-12 and a general membership program for children aged 9-18. School-aged programs are available before school, after school, and during all school vacations. Activities within these programs focus on providing opportunities to explore concepts in five core Areas: Education & Career Development, Sports, Fitness & Recreation, the Arts, Health & Life Skills, and Character & Leadership Development. All participants are offered free snacks and meals. During the summer vacation, the Club also distributes free lunches at 10 locations. It is our mission to inspire and enable all young people, especially those who need us most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring, and responsible citizens.
