About Boys & Girls Clubs of Story County
Our mission To inspire & enable all young people, especially those who need us most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring, and responsible citizens. The Boys & Girls Club of Story County offers youth development programming after school and all day during school breaks! Our trained, caring, and professional staff supervise all of our programming in a safe, positive environment. On a daily basis, we offer homework assistance, sports and fitness programs, as well as a daily meal and snack! The Ames clubhouse boasts 11,000 square feet containing a full size gym, a learning center, a technology center including a 3-D printer, a teen lounge exclusive for youth 13 and up, and a game room including a pool table and air hockey! In addition to our daily programs, we offer field trips, service opportunities, and leadership experiences. Reestablished in October 2018, the Nevada Club is located in the youth space at Memorial Lutheran Church. In addition to the latest technology, the Club is equipped with table games, STEM and art supplies, and lots of snacks! Field trips and daily programs are based on youth interest.
