About Boys' Haven of America

Boys' Haven is a non-profit, non-sectarian, charitable institution. We are licensed by the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services. We receive funding from the state, United Way, grants, and individual donors. Boys' Haven is a general residential operation that serves boys ages 5 to 17 and provides a port for stormy times in boy's lives. Many of these boys come from single parent homes and are in need of a more structured environment. Several of them are here long term and plan to stay with us until they graduate high school. Boys' Haven also accepts referrals from Juvenile Probation Departments and the Department of Family and Protective Services. Our program is based on the principles of discipline and hard work rather than punishment, a program where natural consequences occur and privileges are earned. It was the community that believed "every boy deserves a home," and we have continued the mission for over sixty years by keeping that dream alive for all young men who need our help.
