About Brace's Bakery

At Brace’s, baking great products runs in the family, quite literally. Since 1902, when the company was first established by George Brace, people have trusted our family to feed theirs. Now in its fourth generation, it is Mark Brace (Managing Director) and brother Jonathan (Director), who oversee operations. We’ve been baking at Croespenmaen since 1979, the site continuing to grow from 8,000 sqft to 60,000 sqft, with our most modern equipment. In 2004, we ran out of room, opening a second bakery located a mile up the road at Pen Y Fan, dedicated solely to sliced bread and is now our head office. The bakeries are situated on top of the valley above the town of Blackwood in Gwent, a stone’s throw from where George Brace started Brace’s in Pontllanfraith. At Brace’s, we are committed to: Family Values and ethics. Using the best ingredients with sustainable sourcing. Having the highest production standards. Producing the highest quality products. Delivering sliced bread every day, arriving in store within 12 hours of packing. Continued investment in standards and equipment.
