About Us: The Brad Wait Foundation is a registered Charity that was founded in August 2017 in memory of Bradley Bryan Wait, an avid and passionate golfer who lost his 31 month battle with brain cancer on 15 July 2017 at the age of 42. The foundation’s mandate includes On-line Auctions, the proceeds from which will go to scholarships for high school grads that have overcome hardships in their youth. In 2017, The Brad Wait Memorial Golf Tournament raised $100,000.00 that was donated to North Shore Hospice ‘Every Day Counts’ expansion program. The proceeds from the 2018 Memorial Golf Tournament will go to the Camp Kerry Society (www.campkerrysociety.org) which supports families, especially children and teenagers as they go through the preparation for the loss of and/or bereavement a parent or sibling. Vision: To be a key benefactor for qualified charities in the Lower Mainland of Greater Vancouver that supports families dealing with end of life and bereavement of their loved ones. This year's proceeds will be given to the Camp Kerry Society where the focus is on bereavement of families, surviving children, teens who have lost a parent or sibling. The Second Brad Wait Memorial Golf Tournament proceeds will help the Camp Kerry Society expand North Shore family counselling. Mission: To honour the memory of Brad Wait by organizing events to raise funds for Scholarships for Grade 12 grads in the Lower Mainland of Greater Vancouver.
