BrainGiga is an open innovation and collaborative platform bringing together organisations and innovators across Africa. Through BrainGiga organisations challenge innovators to come up with solutions to problems. We have built a platform, that connects organisations seeking out innovative ideas, business models, concepts and technologies with innovators and problem solvers across Africa, who wants to use innovative ideas, skills and experience to provide value to organisations by competing to solve key business and social challenges that impact the world. Our mission is help organisations accelerate their innovation initiatives, by leveraging the creative power of the crowds and unlock new global insights, trends and ideas faster and cost effectively. While doing this, we want to challenge Africa's millennial talent to develop critical skills: creative thinking, problem solving, collaboration across networks, agility and adaptability, entrepreneurialism, accessing and analysing information and creativity. BrainGiga relies on open innovation challenges and community crowdsourcing to let companies gather a lot of data on new ideas and ventures. We have built a few communities that are willing to participate in innovation challenges. There is a student community, and tech enthusiast community. Creating and managing challenges with BrainGiga lets companies quickly source innovation opportunities and potential talent to recruit. Participants gain experience, meet other participants, and build a professional network and business relations. Like a competitive project, the winners are also rewarded by our clients. There are two advantages when you use BrainGiga platform. First, you don’t have to micromanage the challenge, we take care of it. Second, as a result of our method, you are supposed to get better recommendations and data compared to an anonymized marketing survey.
