The Brampton Cosmetic Surgery Center & Medical Spa was established in 1994 to provide a full range of cosmetic and skin health procedures. The clinic is directed by Dr. Robert Sleightholm, a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon who has been dedicated to plastic and cosmetic surgery for 20 plus years. The Brampton Cosmetic Surgery Center is fully accredited by the Canadian Association for Accreditation of Ambulatory Surgery Facilities (CAAASF), which means it has the same surgery standards as a hospital. The CAAASF is a national organization that ensures surgical procedures performed outside a public hospital are done safely and carefully. Member facilities have chosen to be inspected because they want patients to have the assurance of a safe alternative to in-hospital surgery All surgery performed in a CAAASF facility must be done by a fully qualified (FRCSC) surgeon, certified by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, who must be eligible to perform the same surgical procedures in a hospital. This protects patients from surgeons performing procedures for which they are not qualified. The assisting personnel must be appropriately certified for their role in an accredited facility, just as they would in a hospital.
