Brantones Ltd has been established since 1992 and has been advising and partnering on projects to produce private retirement units and supported accommodation for the elderly in desirable settings. The concept is simple. Ageing is inevitable to those who survive childhood, adolescence and middle age. Basic shelter and modern dwellings are available to most in the Western world. However, the last 50 years have seen the style and technical adaptations evolve for the ageing and elderly. Specialist accommodation, including care homes and nursing units, have grown to meet the requirements of those who need intensive care. However, most first require support as they become less agile, more forgetful, isolated and/or just lonely. The population at retirement age is expanding rapidly. Many can expect to live after retiring for a further 20, 30, 40 years or more and traditional houses and flats will no longer meet their needs. Sheltered accommodation has evolved as a solution and people are able and encouraged to live independent, fuller lives. Over the last 25 years, projects have been completed utilising Brantones team as the project managers and / or joint venture partners. Brantones Ltd have worked or partnered with small and large investment group and various builders and developers, including: Helmsey Group; Civitas Fund; G&J Seddon; Morrison Homes; etc. In the social sector, associates include: IHL (UK) Ltd; Blue Square (RP), WPHA, etc. Current relationships also exist with Ancient Arts, Cambridge University, and private investors.
