About Braval

Braval is a volunteer-based NGO that works with families to promote character building, social inclusion, school success and employment opportunities among at risk youth and children in the inner-city and multicultural district of the Raval. Our socio-educational programs include sports, leisure, academic and personal mentoring, coaching as well as occupational training activities. Braval works with 200 children, youth and their families with the help of a 160 volunteers that annually devote 15.000 hours of volunteer-work. Braval es un centro de apoyo socioeducativo que desarrolla un conjunto de programas y actividades dirigidas a conseguir la cohesión social en el multicultural barrio del Raval de Barcelona, y prevenir la exclusión social de la infancia y juventud y sus familias. Promovemos el voluntariado social; buscamos paliar el problema del fracaso y del absentismo escolar, incrementar en los jóvenes la motivación para realizar los estudios obligatorios y promover el interés para acceder a los superiores, sean de bachillerato y universitarios, como de formación profesional. Después, impulsamos actuaciones que conducen a la inserción laboral. Braval trabaja con 200 niños, jóvenes y sus familias con la ayuda de 160 voluntarios que anualmente dedican 15.000 horas de trabajo en servicio de los demás.
