About Breakthrough T1D Georgia and South Carolina
Breakthrough T1D's Georgia and South Carolina Chapter serves individuals and families throughout the entire two state footprint. We offer invaluable community outreach, support and education as well as a variety of events throughout the year to raise funds for type 1 diabetes (T1D) research. Breakthrough T1D is the only global organization with a strategic research plan to end T1D. Our plan ensures that there will be an ongoing stream of life-changing therapies moving from development through to commercialization that lessen the impact of T1D. We want to keep people with T1D healthy and safe today until we reach our ultimate goal of a cure and universal prevention of T1D. Breakthrough T1D collaborates with a wide spectrum of partners at every stage of the drug delivery pipeline and is the only organization with the scientific resources, regulatory influence, and a strategic plan to deliver a world without T1D. Breakthrough T1D’s influence and leadership extends beyond funding research. We strategically partner with industry, governments, foundations, academia and clinicians, because curing T1D is a global, coordinated effort with JDRF at the center.
