Breakthrough Water’s Purpose is to enable its revolutionary water purification and desalination and associated technologies to be applied to provide cheap, clean and safe water wherever it is needed in the world. Breakthrough Water’s technology breakthroughs are the culmination of the work of the two of the world’s leading authorities on colloid and physical chemistry, Professors Barry Ninham and Ric Pashley, and recent discoveries of Professor Pashley’s research team at the University of New South Wales, Australia. The Breakthrough Water technologies provide a range of innovative techniques with far simpler and significantly lower energy and financial costs than any currently used processes, for: • Low energy desalination of seawater without waste by-products or the need for high temperatures or pressure. • Sterilisation of water, including destruction of viruses, bacteria, hormones and antibiotics • Removal of heavy metal contaminates such as arsenic, lead and mercury Breakthrough Water’s technologies are scalable for applications including individual and remote community use, disaster relief, large metropolitan water purification and remediation, as well as mining, shipping, agriculture and farming, health and industrial and other commercial applications.
