On January 4th, 2016, Wirtz Beverage Group and Charmer Sunbelt Group joined together to form Breakthru Beverage Group. Our local name will change but the same diverse portfolio of premier wine, spirits and beer brands remains and our mission to be “The Distributor of Choice” is our commitment! Breakthru Beverage Group (BBG) is the most progressive distributor in the state of South Carolina. Formed in 1935, as Ben Arnold Beverage Co., BBG provides for the wine and spirit needs of the state through its distribution locations in Columbia, Greenville, Charleston, Myrtle Beach, and Hilton Head. The company employs approximately 400 associates and distributes over 2.5 million cases per year. Breakthru Beverage Group of South Carolina is a member of the Breakthru Beverage Group, a group of privately held companies.
