About Brick Math

Brick Math is a K-6 math curriculum that uses LEGO® bricks to teach students a deep understanding of foundational math. It's easy to teach and fun to learn! The program consists of 11 teaching guides, 11 student workbooks, and a brick set that works for the whole program. Subjects include: Counting, Addition, Subtraction, Multiplication, Division, Fractions, Measurement, Geometry, and Decimals. Brick Math can be implemented as a school's math curriculum, but it also can be used for math intervention and for gifted enrichment activities. The Brick Math program has been tested and shown to be highly effective in increasing student's test scores. It is based on extensive learning research and theories of Constructionism. The author, Dr. Shirley Disseler, is an Associate Professor at High Point University and the foremost educator in the US for learning with LEGO® bricks.
