Hello and welcome! I’m so happy you’re here. I use a mind-body approach to teach coping skills and how to shift your emotionally anxious state to a more relaxed state. I can help you develop a more integrated felt sense of a past situation and help you achieve lasting healing on current issues, staying less restricted by them in future situations. My goal is to help you become a more authentic you, one that can experience all your feelings, so your actions come from a conscious and true place. Often what you know to be true is very different from what you feel deep down. I have a special interest in helping older adolescents and adults through individual counseling understand and deal with the complicated feelings and emotional upheaval often associated with anxiety, self-esteem concerns, shame, co-dependency, relationship issues, life transitions, and trauma. Expect to experience insight and impact early and continuously in our work together. As an integrative therapist, I employ different evidence-based models and tools in treatment. My working style is non-judgmental, and I endeavor to bring curiosity, humor, empathy, patience, and respect to our relationship. Training and Qualifications My journey to becoming a Licensed Professional Counselor has been dynamic and unique. Currently, I hold my professional license to provide counseling in both Virginia (LPC) and New York State (LMHC). Additionally, in Virginia I am a Certified Substance Abuse Counselor (CSAC) and Certified Sex Offender Treatment Provider (CSOTP). Internal Family Systems Trained Therapist Department of Health Professionals Virginia Board of Counseling, Registered Supervisor for Licensed Professional Counselor & Certified Substance Abuse Counselor Providing in person and online therapy in the New York office. Online therapy provided for individuals in Virginia.
