About Bridge To Health USA
The Canadian branch of Bridge to Health was founded in 2012 by a group of five medical and dental professionals who had spent time in East Africa and recognized a need to help individuals who had never seen a dentist or doctor because they could not afford one. The organization’s aim is to provide sustainable healthcare and continue to have a positive impact on the communities they serve in a cost-effective manner. Some of Bridge to Health’s initiatives include: training local healthcare workers, providing educational outreach to the residents of these communities, screening and treating women for cervical cancer (the leading cause of cancer death in East Africa), and training local healthcare providers to use portable ultrasound to save lives!
