About BridgeMakers

BridgeMakers – a non-profit communications agency, created in 2016, recognizes that global challenges affecting all of our lives can only be tackled through public-private partnerships, with creative thinking a vital element within the mix not only to bring innovative thinking and smart solutions to these challenges, but also to make them comprehensible to everyone. With the 17 Sustainable development goals (Global Goals) (LINK) identified by the UN General Assembly in September 2015, as her starting point, BridgeMakers is interested in the role creatives and creative thinking has in tackling these challenges and in particular Goal 17 which relates to partnerships. The work of BridgeMakers articulates a new sense of where creativity can truly make a difference. And it is a difference that we believe creatives are eager to contribute to. So, what are these Goals and how best can we get creatives to engage with these challenges? Creatives perhaps work and think differently to others and we think this gives room for new ideas, new approaches to problems, new solutions. Creative ideas need room to develop, they need people with diverse skills to collaborate. We need others to better understand how we work and for them to involve us, as creative thinkers in humanity’s common challenges.
