Bridges to Wellness is a rural health network collaborative serving rural northwest Arkansas and rural northeast Oklahoma. Our Mission is: Mobilizing Community Wellness Our vision Is: Healthy Energetic Communities We work towards community wellness through three directions: Eat Better, Move More: an initiative that includes expanding our walking and biking trails, safe routes to school, healthy cooking classes on a budget, and zumba and yoga classes. We also sponsor 5k races and bike races for families and for serious cyclists. Immigrant Health Task Force: this initiative is focused on increasing access to quality care for our evergrowing immigrant population. This includes health literacy projects, community gardening, and transportation. Chronic Disease Prevention: This initiative is primarily aimed at Workplace Wellness. We offer Blood Pressure Education and challenge programs, sodium education, and smoking cessation programs.
