About Brighter Futures Together

Brighter Futures Together is a not-for-profit social enterprise working to support young people’s mental health, wellbeing and voice — with a strong focus on prevention, early support and inclusion. We run community-based youth projects that focus on the areas where young people face the greatest inequalities. These include a neurodivergent youth group built around shared interests and connection, a Young Mental Health Champions programme supporting peer-led change, and an LGBTQ+ youth group and Allies Forum working to build belonging and shift systems. All of our work is grounded in youth work principles and shaped by lived experience. We focus on building trusted relationships, creating safe and inclusive spaces, and helping young people feel supported before they reach crisis point. Alongside our direct work with young people, we provide training and consultancy to schools, NHS teams and community organisations. Our support focuses on participation, co-production and inclusive practice — and is always informed by what we learn through our projects on the ground. We work across local (Marlow and Buckinghamshire), regional (Thames Valley) and national levels, and have collaborated with a wide range of partners — from grassroots organisations to NHS Trusts, universities and national charities. In everything we do, we are committed to valuing different kinds of knowledge equally. We believe that lived experience, community insight and professional expertise all have a vital role to play, and we work to bring them together. We’re a small but mighty team with deep roots in the youth sector, lived experience of neurodivergence, and a shared passion for making a difference. At the heart of everything we do is one clear aim: To help young people enjoy brighter, better days — filled with opportunity, empathy and hope.
