About BrightHaven

BrightHaven is a 501(c)(3) animal welfare organization dedicated to helping people help older, disabled and chronically ill animals via our Rescue and Caregiver Resources and Education (including animal hospice and holistic healthcare) programs. We also foster respect and compassion for all animals, honor animals as wise teachers and provide caregiver resources to the public about holistic healthcare, animal hospice and natural dying. Our Menu for Healing, which is the foundation of our work, focuses on the best quality of life at all stages. The goal is to achieve optimal balance of body, mind and spirit. We e look forward to a time when animal lovers from all walks and professions come together to experience love, compassion and respect for animals with special needs and those in the autumn of their lives. BrightHaven is a pioneer and leader in the ever-expanding field of animal hospice and palliative care, and our experience with hospice-supported natural dying is distinct and well known. We are privileged to have provided hospice care for and shared the dying experience with over 600 animals who taught us so much. At BrightHaven, it is all about living well through the last breath!
