About Bringing Music to Life

Our mission is to provide children in Colorado with the the life-changing experience of making music. Learning to play a musical instrument helps students improve their listening skills, ability to work with others, critical thinking, self-discipline and self-esteem. We've seen it happen with the more than 17-thousand children our program has already benefited. Each year, we collect donated band and orchestra instruments, repair them and then award those instruments to deserving underfunded school music programs throughout Colorado. To date we have awarded more than 5,500 instruments to hundreds of elementary, middle and high schools. Even with a significant discount from our repair partners, our single biggest expense continues to be repairs for the donated instruments to ensure they are in excellent condition when they are received by the schools. Every $165 received enables us to refurbish a donated instrument and put it in the hands of a child.
