About British Bookshops and Stationers
Low prices, coupled with outstanding customer service have been our heritage for the last 70 years. The original business, known as Sussex Stationers, started selling stationery in Haywards Heath in the 1930’s. In the 1990’s the business was selling discounted books and moved the centre of operations to Brighton. Unfortunately British Bookshops & Stationers went into Administration during 2011. All employees were dedicated in their efforts to make the business a success, tough trading conditions during the the last quarter of 2010 impacted on the performance of the business.
