About British Columbia Environmental Film Festival Society

British Columbia Environmental Film Festival (BCEFF) Society will bring together film makers and scientists to share stories about our environment through film. Using innovative ways of mass communication, we will introduce science-based films from around the world to Canada that will inject fact-based knowledge, interest, and passion for environmental issues. Our annual film festival will showcase fact-checked science-based films with an environmental theme. Through other events such as filmmaking workshops, we will better facilitate the collaboration between film makers, scientists, and distributors. With a background in international film making, we will bring a unique form of communication to engage those who aren’t always involved in science, including new Canadians, People of Colour, indigenous communities , LGBTQ2S+ Comunity and Wemen. We will work in conjunction with other organizations, teams, and individuals to foster, develop, and grow in societal awareness of environmental issues and provide a means to facilitate positive and proactive communications with the greater global community.
