About Brother Box

At Brother Box our mission is to help Black boys build a strong foundation for success in high school by supporting their character development, inspiring them to dream big, and encouraging them to be their most authentic selves. We build products, resources, and experiences to inspire Black boys. At the core we believe if you stay true to the most authentic version of yourself and you dream big, set goals, and stay focused on your deepest desires, there’s no limit to what you can do in the world. Our core program, the No Limits Academy, is a virtual 10-month character development program for Black 9th grade boys designed to complement traditional instruction by expanding their capacity for self-exploration and helping them identify their personal values and how those values help bring their dreams to life. We believe that by providing our boys with a culturally-relevant programmatic experience early in their high school careers -- one that makes them feel seen, heard, and supported, and focused on embracing who they are beyond traditional classroom instruction -- they will gain a greater sense of self and the values they care about, be less likely to drop out of school, and more eager about their college and career options. Ultimately, we envision a world where every Black boy has access to a high-quality, holistic, culturally-relevant, and equitable education, giving them the best chance at graduating high school and achieving their dreams.
