About Brush

Brush began in 2023, when Brontë – the nine-year-old niece of one of our founders – was visiting her aunt and uncle in Sussex, and needed to see a dentist due to a toothache. Brontë’s aunt phoned all the dentists in the area, but couldn’t find anyone who could fit Brontë in. It took the best part of a morning to do that, all seemingly to no avail. Eventually, they found a dentist a bit further away who had just had a patient cancellation. Good news: they could see Brontë today. And soon, she was smiling again. But surely there had to be a better way? Why wasn’t there some kind of booking platform, where dentists could share their free slots, so people could quickly find an appointment? And with that, the idea behind Brush was born.
