About BT Neuro-MedWare
We hope to enable people with currently in-curable neurological diseases/dysfunctions including ALS, Parkinson, Spinal Cord Injury and Epilepsy to speak, live, and move as if they don’t have such disease. We are starting our journey by helping people paralyzed due to spinal injury. If you damage your spinal cord and become paralyzed with current available solutions you can’t even perform basic day to day activities, it’s highly unnatural, and very inconvenient. If you were to get the leading solution an implant placed in the spine and applies electrical impulses to allow you to move again, and you wanted to grab a pop from the fridge. You would need to use the remote controller that comes with the device, and press a button to indicate that you want to stand, hold on to something, and press another button to indicate you want to walk. We’re developing software that complements current stimulation devices, and uses advanced planning and baysian statistics to allow you to just think and can walk fluidly, run, jump, kick, and perform other key tasks. Launched at the Founder Institute.
