The company employs 2,100 people. Buehler’s Fresh Foods grocery store was founded in 1929 by E.L. (Ed) Buehler and his wife, Helen. After opening their first store in New Philadelphia, the Buehler family moved the business to Wooster in 1932. By 2017 the company, under the guidance of the Buehler's family, had grown to 13 stores. Today, Buehler's is known for providing fresh produce and bakery goods, meat departments with skilled butchers and excellent ready-to-go prepared foods.
