Building Block is an accessories brand founded by sisters Kimberly and Nancy Wu. After corporate careers in footwear design and concept vehicle design, Kim and Nancy’s desire to create more intuitively led them to begin crafting bags for themselves in 2011. Pairing utilitarian elements like rubber tubing and wood pieces next to leather and precise craftsmanship, their line of handbags gained a cult-following and became defined by playful proportions anchored in classic geometry.
