About Building Self-Belief CIO
Self-Belief is an essential quality that underpins everyone’s personal and professional success. It is our charitable mission to build stronger communities by building self-belief. Our main aim is to ensure that the young people in society get the necessary support and advice so that they have the best possible start as they embark on adult life. This support is also extended by our provision of CPD for teachers to support young people in school, as well as parenting classes that provide advice and guidance for how best to deal with situations that arise in the home. Ultimately, our belief is that improved communication through organised group discussions and group activities will lead to change, and this is due to the improvement in their feelings of self-belief. Too many of our young people are underachieving because of their inability to appreciate just how much they have to offer and due to a lack of aspirations. Our programmes are designed to intervene early and prevent the onset of more serious mental health issues. We ensure that the young people involved have an opportunity for self-reflection, self-expression and self- improvement. We give them the tools to manage their moods, manage their emotions and we support them in ensuring they appreciate that they have the potential for a bigger and brighter future and how they need to embrace and enjoy such a prospect. We have a multi-agency board that includes highly experienced professionals from education, the police, business, health and the military. Most importantly, we also have extensive experience of involvement in the charity sector. As a collective, we have a wide range of interests and expertise, but our common goal is our motivation in supporting young people to find the strength of character to ensure they can live fruitful and happy lives.
