About Buledya Services
For Buledya, we are determined to use our skills, experience, networks and know-how to support this shared effort of enabling self-determination, supporting greater participation, and facilitating positive systems and structural change. Our framework rests on principles of placing users in the centre and empowering people in decision making that affects them (derived from the IAP2 principles) to define, design and build solutions that drive change. It uses principles of co-design but led by a team with technical and cultural competence and experience to get outcomes, not just outputs. Design is a process to achieve better futures, it isn’t about the process in its own right. Our backgrounds and experience are in seeking greater impact in our work. That is why NGNY and Portable were formed, and why they have come together in Buledya Services. Our methodology is seeking to scale organisational change in the world around us. We are bringing together the worlds of design and delivery underpinned by cultural principles. Design for cultural impact informs all we do, in solving the right problems, ensuring we’re not asking questions of communities asked for generations and designing outcomes from smart uses of technology. We are designing a better future, especially in areas where initiatives have commenced but not been realised.
