About Bundeswehr Cyber Innovation Hub
Empowering Innovation in Defence The Bundeswehr Cyber Innovation Hub (CIHBw) is an interface between the start-up scene and the Bundeswehr. Its mission is to drive digital innovation in the Bundeswehr. The CIHBw identifies innovative technologies in the international start-up scene and develops and validates them for the Bundeswehr. Its focus is on disruptive technologies in the area of cyber / information technology and on digital products and services. Empowering Innovation in Defence The CIHBw works between the opposites of start-up culture and Bundeswehr tradition and is meant to introduce the start-up mind-set and methods as a capability in the Bundeswehr. The goal is also to deliberately try out new approaches. The team comprises military personnel, civilians and serial entrepreneurs who are looking to contribute to successful digital transformation in the Armed Forces. The CIHBw is also meant as a platform to reach out to innovators and talents in the digital sector and involve them as reservists.
