At the end of 2022, driven by a blend of frustration and inspiration, I embarked on a journey that led to the birth of Buqet. My quest began with a simple yet elusive desire: to find the perfect bucket hat. Not just any hat, but one that could seamlessly integrate into my daily life and resonate with my vibrant spirit, especially as I prepared for the electric atmosphere of the Gabircz festival. My background in fashion had always been a compass guiding me towards aesthetic and emotional expression through clothing. Yet, despite this passion, I found myself at a crossroads after my studies. The stark reality of the fashion industry's environmental footprint had dimmed my enthusiasm for pursuing a traditional path within it. Buqet was conceived—not merely as a brand, but as a statement. I envisioned Buqet as a sanctuary for the environmentally conscious and the style-savvy alike. By embracing deadstock fabrics sourced from quaint, local fabric stores, Buqet began crafting bucket hats in small, meticulously curated batches. Each piece is not just a product but a testament to sustainability, uniqueness, and the beauty of conscious creation. As Buqet continues to evolve, my vision for it expands far beyond the realm of fashion. I dream of it becoming a vibrant platform for collaboration, where my passions for art, culture and sustainability intertwine. Buqet, sounding like bouquet, has many connotations. Whilst a bunch of flowers may first spring to mind, buqet welcomes an abundance of whatever you want to invite into your life – happiness, love, harmony.
