About Burgmann College
Founded and affiliated within the Australian National University in 1971, Burgmann College is a unique tertiary institution sponsored by five Christian churches that provides a diverse and comprehensive range of academic, pastoral and spiritual supports together with an extensive social, sporting and multicultural program. In essence, Burgmann College is: • a fully collegiate university residential college for both full-time undergraduate and full-time postgraduate students; • the residential host for the ANU Summer Scholar Program, and the host for two summer intakes of the renowned National Youth Science Forum. Burgmann College actively contributes to the life of the wider University, set so beautifully in the south west corner of the University grounds where Sullivan's Creek reaches out to enter Lake Burley Griffin. A College of broad Christian foundations, Burgmann welcomes people of all faiths and none. The College celebrates and is enriched by the diversity of backgrounds of its residents and staff. Burgmann College Vision: “A residential learning community within the ANU; striving for academic achievement and development of leadership in a sustainable and enjoyable environment of diverse faiths, cultures and disciplines”.
