About Burlington Basketball

Burlington Basketball was incorporated as a not-for-profit youth basketball sports association 42 years ago. It all started back in 1973 as Minor Basketball Association of Burlington (MBAB) and eventually it collaborated with Burlington’s Rep Basketball team to create Burlington Basketball. Today we have a youth development program, 2 stage house league and a successful rep team program. Burlington Basketball is determined to build on the tremendous growth of the City of Burlington and of the sport nationally. We are driven to offer a new and great opportunities for our local youth athletes to excel. Burlington Basketball was born out of a shared vision to create and provide our Burlington basketball athletes with the following: 1) a more rewarding experience for players and parents that could grow and thrive as a premier program in the City of Burlington and in Ontario’s basketball community; 2) a program to continue to distinguish through our ability to develop skilled basketball players competing at the elementary, high school, regional, provincial, and national levels through the quality of our provincially certified, highly experienced coaching staff and our hard-working managers and administrators; 3) a club strongly unified in delivering the highest quality programs to develop the fundamentals of team and individual play with emphasizing the values of sportsmanship and fair play, and; 4) a more open, transparent member-based association, committed to good governance, accountability and integrity.
