Set up in 1989 by Birgitta & Peter Curtin, the Burren Smokehouse is a family-run business producing award-winning artisan food products. We use a unique smoking process, using real fire kilns and ancient techniques - with a touch of Scandinavian flair - to give our 100% Irish wild and Irish organic salmon, mackerel & trout its famous flavour. We uphold the highest standards of quality, carefully sourcing our raw ingredients locally, and adhering to all necessary processes to achieve our organic certification. Winner 2 x National Organic Awards (2020), numerous Great Taste Gold Medal Awards and “Top 50 Foods” over the last two decades, Winner Green Seafood Business Award (2018) and many more.
