We strive to bring aspiring game developers and local studios together for the sake of community, personal growth, and unity between the various arms of the thriving Vancouver video game community. We are always looking for more opportunities to host events that local game developers want to attend. If you have an idea for an event, or if you would like to get involved in the game development community around you, send us a message @busgamedevs! Each year, we organize the two largest game jam events in British Columbia and the Vancouver area. Global Game Jam and BC Game Jam are hackathons with a focus on creating video game software. Participants have 48 hours to create a completely original video game idea. Global Game Jam attracts jammers from students to industry professionals.
