About Bushcare Services

Bushcare Services is a multi-disciplinary environmental consultancy and practice. Our core focus is the sustainable management and rehabilitation of natural areas. We specialise in designing and delivering programs of ecological restoration and habitat reconstruction. Based in south east Queensland - our operations service the following regions. Brisbane, Sunshine Coast, Gold Coast, Northern NSW and inland regional areas by request. Revegetation, bushland regeneration, integrated weed control, vegetation management ( I-Zone & CPTED), erosion control + riparian stabilisation, bushland tracks and trails, farm forestry, soil conditioning, fauna-habitat replacement (nesting boxes), management of WSUDs, reconstruction of degraded waterways (engineered rockwork), hosting community planting events + land management practices such as fencing exclusion and slashing. We believe that running successful and well thought through projects is our niche. Our operational division is headed up by experienced project co-ordinators and guided by best practice restoration science from our professional consultancy division. Bushcare Services runs operational projects and programs. Projects are typically defined to have a construction phase whilst programs are typically run through our Council partnerships and work towards long term restoration outcomes through rotational maintenance. Bushcare Services is typically engaged on projects resulting from vegetation offsets and open space construction. The success criteria of these projects now fully integrates the many components of a functioning habitat system - often adopting a model of complete reconstruction when all natural components are absent or modified. So this means working on re-building all vegetative strata, adaptive soil conditioning and ground and arboreal habitat.
