About Business Enterprise Mapping
Our best clients are midsize to larger private companies, along with public companies, who want to simplify undefined, complicated and highly variable workflows that deliver inadequate performance that harms results. Our buyers are typically department heads, senior leadership, and enterprise performance improvement professionals who are seeking a process mapping and improvement method that is engaging, fast, effective and delivers high value-added results relative to cost. Clients generally see the workflow problem as large, complex and intimidating and don’t know how or where to get started. BEM has had clients tell us that we solved problems in a manner of weeks that they couldn’t solve internally for years. Using our proprietary Perigon Method, BEM engages client staff to rapidly map large department workflows, identify the most painful problems (which we call Red Clouds), determine their cause and effect relationships, and design solutions that deliver substantial and sustainable improvement. Our approach begins with a one day Roadmap Workshop where we meet on-site with department leadership to scope and plan a process Playbook project. This is followed by an 8-12 week largely remote project to build Process Playbooks that includes extensive process definition and analysis, and delivers improvement plans by process and for the group as a whole. Finally, the 6 month Process Deployment project implements department improvement initiatives and builds a sustainable internal improvement capability.
