About Business is Personal

Business is Personal is a belief that Thomas and Penny Power have held since they launched Ecademy in 1998. The first social network in the world for business, Ecademy grew across all continents, supporting business owners online and through over 5000 face to face events a year. In 2019, Penny wrote her book called Business is Personal, sharing the emotional and mental challenges of their entrepreneurial journey. As a result of this book Penny and Thomas were approached to be NEDs, to Coach, Mentor and support other Business Owners. Additionally, Corporates concerned by the Mental Health Agenda asked Penny to speak at their events and help their employees to encourage greater personal responsibility for Mental Fitness. In April 2019, Thomas and Penny decided to bring back the essence of Ecademy and launch 'small intimate groups' in the form of 'Masterminds' to enable 12 people to come together, over a journey of transformation and growth, creating a culture of open sharing and support for each other's life journeys. Business is Personal has four mastermind Groups now formed, all in London.
